Immersion Method For Rug Cleaning
This is the method that is recommended for most Oriental and Specialty Rugs. This is what our eight-step process is all about. It mimics the river washing done for hundreds of years in these rug's countries of origin.
Our Full Immersion Hand-wash is a process consisting of many steps. It begins with 'Dusting and Beating.' The rug is first turned upside down on a screen and beaten from the back to eliminate all dry grime, dust, and debris. The rug is after that switched face up to vacuum whatever has lodged at the tips of the pile. If the rug is a delicate vintage or is in endangered condition, it will be secured strongly between two pieces of screen to stop additional loss of pile. Your rug will be cleaner of loosened dust and sand than it has actually ever been. Rugs are dusted up until no more particles are ejected - often a taking hour or more! A good pad can help protect the underside of your rug from dirt and debris that can travel up through the foundation into the fibers. You should never use a “rubber” or synthetic pad which can become sticky, attract dirt, and can decompose over time causing damage.
