Color Correction on Hand-Knotted Wool rug in Temecula, CA

This rug had been cleaned at the clients home by a carpet cleaner. Unfortunately when the rug dried some of the red dye bled into some neighboring, lighter colored, areas of the rug. In this particular case the issue was color crocking. This happens when the fiber has too much dye on it. This can cause some of the color to come off, even in a dry state. Luckily a through dusting and washing flushed all the excess dye off the fibers and the rug turned out as good as new.
